My muscles HATE me!

Oh-Meeee-ooooohhhh-myyyyyy..... I feel a BURNIN' in my THIGHS! (...and my calves, glutes and arms...) I officially regret not hitting the gym to prepare for snowboarding season this year. We are still up at Mammoth (insert a "HALLELUJAH" here), and hit the mountain ALL DAY on Saturday, and half-day today (my muscles really hated me this morning). The snow was good, we had blue skies, no wind, and it wasn't very crowded for a holiday weekend. Looking at the 10-Day outlook on Weather.com promises MAJOR DUMPAGE this week starting on Thursday, and one of the local snowboarding shops posted a sign saying Mammoth expects to get 5-10 feet of the wonderful white stuff! WHOOO HOOOO! I want to come back SO BAD next weekend, but I'm not sure if we will be able to pull that off, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to try to convince my lovely husband to do so. Hmmm.... any ideas?

"Everything that needs to happen, usually does."

Someone told me the most awesome thing today, and I've been chewing on it.

"Everything that needs to happen, usually does."

No matter how much you think you've thought things through to the enth degree, all the most significant moments that have happened in our lives usually happened when we did not know in advance that they were going to happen.

HAPPY "GREEN" HALLOWEEN!

I just read this great article titled "Green Your Halloween Without Scary Toxins" and I thought I would share it with you. It's amazing how a little knowledge will REALLY open up your eyes and make you see things differently (like the halloween costume isle at the drug store)!

Chad and I (finally) started using the Trader Joe's reusable shopping bags this summer (if I remember correctly, they were only 99 cents a bag) whenever we shop there. Notice I didn't say that we use them whenever we go to ANY market ---we really need to work on that.

Check out: "The Real Cost of "Free" and "Are Paper Bags Better Than Plastic?"

Peace.

In Rainbows - In Love

I am IN LOVE with Radiohead's newest album In Rainbows. http://www.inrainbows.com/
Oh my goodness. OH---MAH---GOODNESS!!!!! Radiohead is the greatest band of all time. Chad and I have discussed this at length, and honestly, without a doubt, they TRULY are the greatest band of all time.

Another major love crush of mine is the TV show "Pushing Daisies". Ned (the show's protagonist) is played by Lee Pace, and I must say that Mr. Pace is positively "dreamy"!

Not only is "Ned" dreamy - but the whole show is dreamy. Throughout each of the 2 episodes so far, I have found myself boasting a BIG GIANT perma-grin (kinda like Mr. Ned here, in this picture).

Now onto more serious news. Earlier today I was having a panic attack (of sorts). Sometimes I get SO creatively inspired by SO many things that I get overwhelmed, and I just want to do EVERYTHING! I want to create SO MANY THINGS! My mind literally jumps from one thing to the next - and it feels just like when you are a little kid, and you're SO excited to have a new friend over to your house for the first time ever - that you start showing off all your cool toys to them - one after another at a hyper-speed rapid pace - first it's Barbie, then the Barbie car, then the Cabbage Patch Kid, and then the whole Strawberry Shortcake gang.... and then.... and then.... and then............

And then I realized that I NEED to be independently wealthy so I can literally spend all day, every day creating beautiful amazing things.

So that's my plan. It will happen. I've seen "The Secret" -- I know what's going on. THAT LIFE WILL BE MINE!

Cookie Dough Cravings

Okay - why is it that whenever I watch "The Biggest Loser" I crave sweets? Like right now - I totally crave cookie dough. Most people would be inspired to work out, possibly eat a salad... but ME???? I crave COOKIE DOUGH!

On another note, Chad and I have finally discoverd the correct term for the genre of music we love. It's officially called "Beard Rock" (Indie meets Folk meets Rock, and apparently does not require the musicians to actually don facial hair along the jaw line.) Who are these musicians I speak of? Band of Horses, Grand Archives, The Shins, Rogue Wave, Death Cab For Cutie, Iron & Wine and Modest Mouse are just a few of the best ones (according to us).

That's about it for now.
